Owen Seabrook is a writer and director from St Helens, Merseyside. A multidisciplinary creative, he oversees the creative process of film production from beginning to end, ensuring a high standard of work and embracing bold approaches to ensure important stories are not only told, but remembered. He is the Social Media Producer for the BBC Sounds exclusive gaming podcast, Press X to Continue, and has edited online content of names such as Usain Bolt, Keanu Reeves and Tom Grennan.
In his own time, he’s writing his own concepts or trying to bump up his movie count. He’s nearly at a thousand.

PRODUCER DIRECTOR
Lewis, Bradford-born producer director, has a transdisciplinary background in sustainable development, engineering and the third sector. A specialist in building relationships and solving problems creatively, he’s most engaged when working on projects with people at their heart. Those rooted in contemporary issues, taboo and/or (sub)culture(s).
His recent projects include: ENCOUNTERS – four part Netflix documentary, exec-produced by Steven Spielberg; MORE THAN JUST A VAN – hybrid documentary/music short film collaboration with artist George Bloomfield; LEODIS – six part drama series, developed on Screen Yorkshire’s Flex programme.

Owais Manzoor is a digital marketer and graphic designer from Leeds, West Yorkshire. Owais channels his creativity to convey important messages across multiple mediums and platforms. Eager to become a master of social media, fashion and film – he’s inspired by the bold and contemporary work of the digital artist Jeff Cole and Kaws.
Currently enrolled on a digital marketing apprenticeship program, Owais is on track to achieve his long term goal of creating content that breaks the rules, and tells untold stories.

MAIZIE BROWN
DEVELOPMENT PRODUCER
Maizie is a development producer with a penchant for in-depth research. After receiving an MA in Film Studies from King’s College London, she gravitated toward the vibrant city of Leeds to pursue her career in the creative industry.
Working primarily in the early stages of production, Maizie converts initial conversations with stakeholders into thoroughly developed plans for production. She has spent the last year working on a knife crime documentary with Tell Studio, investigating the rising levels of knife-related offences in West Yorkshire. With puppetry at the helm of her interests, she is always looking for creative projects that encapsulate the art form.

OUR COMMUNITY
THE NEW MONDAY
We lead The New Monday alongside creative partners including Channel 4, The Creative Catalyst programme, delivered by Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (the LEP)*, Leeds City Council, Paceline, Wise Owl Films, and We Are the Allies.
The New Monday is a monthly networking and community event developed by a collaborative group of creatives based in Leeds and Bradford. We aim to build collaboration across industries, provide inspiration and opportunity, nurture talent, and develop a supportive creative culture. We host breakfast networking and speaker sessions on the first Tuesday of every month (it is The New Monday after all…)
